Leila is the newest addition to our adoption program. She is 18 years old. Leila’s previous owner loved her very much. Unfortunately, her owner moved to an apartment that accepted animals, but her neighbors constantly complained about the noise level. Her landlord gave her an ultimatum and she was forced to surrender Leila. Quakers can be loud and definitely should not be kept in apartment settings. Leila has only known one family her entire life. I suspect that this transition may be difficult for her. She likes to talk and seems very social. We are looking for a home that will be very patient with her. She will need time to adjust and she has never been around other birds. If you are open to the idea of adopting an older bird, please fill out the application and give us a call!
