Parrot Stars is a Parrot Education Center and Store located in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Since opening in 2018, our mission has been simple: to provide quality bird care products, share free education about parrots, and breed and raise healthy, hand-fed baby parrots.

We believe that great bird care starts with knowledge. Through our free classes, expert guidance, and carefully selected products, we help parrot owners give their birds the best possible lives.

Before You Bring Your Parrot Home

We’re so excited to help you welcome your new feathered companion! To ensure every parrot leaves for a safe, enriching home, we have a few non-negotiable requirements. Our hope is that future — and current — parrot owners are willing and able to go far beyond these minimum standards to give their parrots the best life possible.

Here’s what you need to be prepared for:

1. Proof of proper housing — a large cage, plus at least 6 toys and 6 perches.

2. Bring or purchase a travel carrier (no cardboard boxes).

3. Purchase your parrot’s current food to maintain consistency.

4. Attend our free “Send Home” training (1.5–2 hours) covering care, safety, and behavior.

Please text photos of your proof of caging, perches, and toys to 312-709-3367 when ready to buy. Include your name and the species you are interested in.

Meeting the minimum is just the start — adding extra enrichment, toys, perches, and safe foods will help your parrot thrive and build a strong, happy bond with you.
