Baby Lineolated Parakeet (Bolborhynchus lineola) Available! Lineolated Parakeets, also known as Barred Parakeets, are named for its fine lines or barred markings, is one of the calmest and quietest members of the parrot family, making them ideal pets. They like to walk around, as well as fly, to get from place to place to satisfy their curiousity. Bathing is greatly enjoyed whether in a shallow dish or with their human companion. This intelligent species can learn to talk and whistle. Since it is a quieter species, they can be kept in an apartment or similar housing where you have close neighbors. Ideally, the minimum cage size for this bird would be 25’’ long, 21’’ wide and 29’’ high with ½’’ wire spacing. At Parrot Stars we focus on education, nutrition, and conservation. Prior to taking a bird home, we will provide information on proper housing, creating a safe environment, diet, behavior, hormones and much more. No question will go unanswered. Every hand fed baby is weaned on to a high variety diet. They are weaned onto fruits and veggies, a soak and sprout mix made here in store, high variety seed mix that is also made in store, and naturally colored pellets.
